My handsfree is not working.  I did Feature *0 and pressed the handsfree/mute button and the display says "Handsfree/Mute".  But when I press a line (leaving the handset on the crable the display says "Transfer" and no sound comes out.  In addition, I do not hear a tone when call's are transfered to this extension.

Any comments would be appreciated.

sounds like the set is bad
when you lift the handset do you hear dial tone when pressing a line or intercom key.
the display will show Transfer every time there is an active intercom or line.
try switching to another phone if the problem goes away you have a bad phone if not then you need to check programming on that extension under capabilities look for handsfree set to Auto and answer handsfree.

Sounds like a bad speaker. Check the volume to be sure.  Press any line button and then press the volume up key to see if you can hear anything.

Chck to make sure the handset is not plugged into the headset port. This will cause your problem.

Try Feature 805 and test all too.
