I am working on a client's computer that is having trouble printing PDF files. the file opens ok in Acrobat Reader but when I click on th print icon to print that file Acrobat Reader just closes and the print option window does not open. does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix this problem?

Was the printer turned on when the PC was booted ? Depending on the version of Windows, this can make a difference.
Leave the printer powered on, and reboot the PC, and try again.
If that doesn't help, try printing from other applications, and from other PDF's - it could be that the file of interest was set up so prevent printing....
