interquartz/5000HX door unit misdialling via SLT port

Interquartz ID204 door Unit connected to an SLT port (SLM8) on a Mitel5000HX (version 5.1). When keys pressed on door unit sometimes dials correct extension, sometimes just hangs, but no pattern.
Have programmed Night ring on door unit to be same as Day, so this is not the issue...
anybody had similar problem? or knows the dtmf frequency for Mitel SLT ports please?
Desperate for help.......
