I normally use Firefox but I have to fix a web site that requires IE.  I installed IE8 and now when running IE8 I put in a URL and hit 'go' Firefox starts up and I see the site in Firefox.  I can't find anywhere in Firefox options how to turn off default browser.

Help!!!

To make Internet Explorer your default web browser

Open Internet Explorer.    Open Internet Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Internet Options.

Click the Programs tab, and then click Make default.
