Hi Guys,
        I'm getting strange errors on a system of

Then after a while the system reboots, roughly every half hour.

IP Office V1 (5.0.26)

I dont think so, i thought that it might be something to do with the network so i changed the Lan1 ip address,but this morning it started rebboting again. It is also doing strange things like handsets going onto speaker by themselves and ringing other Extns. when you look at the monitor trace it looks like they have actually dialled the digits and phones going into DND automatically. Its not just the same Extns its really random. I have changed the main IP 500 unit and reprogrammed the config from scratch and uploaded it to the new system. I did DTE the system and erase the software and upload the config also.

Try defaulting it and if that does not work then replace the ipo

I had an overheating PSU in an IP500 once that would shut itself down after about 30 minutes. Temporarily managed to keep it running by pointing a small desktop fan at the PSU while we sourced another part!

I think that its a faulty VCM32 card just looked at the IP Phones and you cant transfer to them from a digital extn.

and i'm getting an error message about codecs

On System status the congestion count is going up everytime i try to dial a IP extn.

Remove it and try again.
But it could be the main board too.

It could also be a faulty lan port on the IPO!
I have seen this happen but no reboots.
Although i can imaging the reboots when there are a number of calls stuck.

I've just changed the VCM card and i'm still getting an error message on monitor:

Replace the IP500 itself.

its been relaced already could they both be faulty?

Could be but that would be nasty.

Remove everything else but the VCM card.
So if there is a trunk card then remove that one too.
It could be a cause of a non working VCM card.

I'm at the stage of replacing it for a V2 its been ongoing for 2 weeks.

But then replace all cards!!!
Then find out what is causing the problem at the office.
The customer does not want to know it i guess smile
