Hello,

In Accpac 5.6, how would I be able to track consignment stock?
We have stock from our supplier in our warehouse which we need to keep track of.
How could that be done in Accpac? Create a special location for these items or is there a smarter way of doing it?

Create a special location, or use Lot Tracking.

Thanks for your reply tuba.
I haven't used lot tracking before.

Can I have stock in Accpac which is allocated to a lot and other stock which does not use lots?

No.

I'd go with the separate location so you can segregate it from your inventory easily.

Hi, coming back to this.
Would there be any way to track consignment stock but to not show it on the balance sheet?

Consignment stock is not really our stock so it should not show on the balance sheet, but I can't think of a way to do that.

Make a separate company.

That's not a bad idea - would have to see whether that's practical at all.

I was also thinking of I/C adjustments with Dr/Cr to the same stock account so it only affects the subledger.
