Foundry TurboIron TSR8F-8SX -- Cannot connect SX to EdgeIron ??

Foundry TurboIron TSR8F-8SX -- Cannot connect SX to EdgeIron ??

(OP)

Since the last time I wrote about these things, I swapped the Foundry for a Cisco 3508. Not quite the performance, and the Cisco was just layer 2, but, I worked around the issue. Now, I need to replace the HP switches due to apparent crosstalk between VLAN's, so, I got a few EdgeIron's to replace the HP's. Since the Cisco is L2 only, I grabbed the TurboIron, figuring that it just has to talk to the EdgeIron's .... right ? Well... Not so fast...

Same stupid problem I had with the TurboIron talking to the HP's. The TurboIron with show it's end of the SX connection as up, but, the EdgeIron side stays down. I have checked all the settings and tried all possible combinations to no avail. The EdgeIrons will talk to the Cisco just fine. The TurboIron will talk to the Cisco just fine, but the two foundry switches can't connect.

Hopefully someone can tell me what the heck is going on with these things.. I would really like to use the TurboIron if I can. It's performance is super.... If I can get it to talk to anything but the Cisco....

Help ???
