URGENT HELP parameter sent to crystal report from gupta changed

URGENT HELP parameter sent to crystal report from gupta changed

(OP)
I have an application developed in GUPTA4.2 and tried to view crystal from my application and the parameters I send to the report (whether date ,string or number) and this report uses stored procedure in Oracle to execute so parameters I send from my application goes to report then report calls this procedure by sending previous parameters.
the report is viewed but empty reoprt or in other meaning I do not find any data have to be shown.
I tried to debug by adding insert statement in the procedures
I found that parameters sent of type NUMBER appear as it is OK but
for STRING appears rubbish for ex.if you send "fiv" I found it changed to "fiv" so value changed and no data returned and report is appears empty althought if opened crystal and passed those parameter myself it is ok and report works normally by viewing data.PLZ I need Urgent help.
