Juniper SSG-140 logging to USB

Juniper SSG-140 logging to USB

(OP)
Hi,

I'd like to be able to log all events on the juniper to a USB pen drive. I've chosen USB under logging, but it doesn't write anything to the drive itself. What format should the USB drive be?

Thanks

RE: Juniper SSG-140 logging to USB

I have the same problem on my SSG20. Even though I have it set log USB enable, and the format is FAT32 default, the SSG20 doesn't send any files to it. Mine is running 6.1.0r2 firmware. I find the documents confusing, and can't figure out how to address the USB thumb drive. Lately, I have been busy with other things, and will have to revisit this to figure it out.

Just a side note, the Fortigate FGT60B has a similar feature, but you can only do backup/restore configs, no logs I was told from the Fortinet Forum. Fortinet has some application for management that takes the logs, something like Sys Logging on that platform. Although I prefer just saving the logs to the USB, and handle them myself.
