apache problem in wamp server used in localhost

Hi,
My laptog has Xp professional. I planned to check my website first in localhost using wampserver. But I have a problem in using wampserver in localhost. I create a from and php file which I then connect it to my mysql after making a table. But I got this error response.
"Apache HTTP Server has ecountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Either that or forum779: Microsoft: Windows XP Pro.  By the way, I'd look in event viewer see if there's anything more descriptive about why Apache is needing to close.
