I'm not sure what it's called but I want the user to validate that they are actually filling out the form. You know when you fill out the form and at the bottom or after you click submit there is a random picture/code that they need to fill in a field for them to go to the next screen.

I would like to know where to go for either code for doing it, or how to do it with a widget...and I'm not even sure what it's called.  Please let me know your idea's?

Its called Captcha.  Its used to prove the user is human, and not some automation software trying to exploit your form.

Google for Captcha scripts and your find lots of results.
