grab data sent by Scanner to IP/port

(OP)
I have an existing program ( created by someone else), it works with Wavelink on a Telnet Windows CE ( Symbol MC9090).  In the Host Profile I am able to configure the IP/Port which goes direct to a Database.

The Database uses Active X to pull the data in.  I would like to replicate this functionality, but not sure what I need.

To start I wanted to be able to see the data coming from the scanner, so I thought would I just create a new PORT?  But the next thing is, what do I use to see what Data is going to the PORT?  I don't fully understand what is happening with the Port config ( in general).
