files names longer than 8 character

(OP)
Hi, i'm using a focus six professional 6.40 version on a windows 7 platform and i've found a problem.
I've a job witch verifies the presence of some files in a specific directory :

-DOS STATE D:\INBOX\*.REP
-RUN
-TYPE COND.CODE= &RETCODE

Until i was using XP the command 'DOS STATE' run correctly even if the name of .REP file was longer than 8 character.
For example a file named XXXX281210.rep was seen as XXXX28~1.rep and all goes ok.
Now if I use command DIR under focus session where is stored the file named XXXX281210.rep it seems that directory is empty.
Is there any settings to change in focus or windows to let the command 'DIR' works correctly again?

Thank you very much
Nicola
