i need to gain an understanding on how Pervasive SQL 2000I
handles Joins , specifically left , inner & right outer joins

RE: Join Fundamentals for SQL 2000I

Here's a link to the documentation on JOINs:
http://docs.pervasive.com/products/database/psqlv11/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=sqlref/syntaxref.3.55.html

It's targeted at PSQL v11 (the current version) but should still apply to PSQL 2000i (a really old version that hasn't been supported in a long time).

If the docs don't help, please explain a little more about what you're asking for.  Also, if you're seeing unexpected results, post what you are seeing and what you expect to see.
