Need "like" and "not like" parameters in the same field

Need "like" and "not like" parameters in the same field

(OP)
Is it possible to write a WHERE statement for one field to perform the following instruction:

like "2011" but not like "CAL%" (short for "calibration")

There would be a couple other fields referenced in the query, but the instructions use straightforward language and aren't a problem.

I am a new user to Maximo. I am not sure what my limitations are for writing queries.  I have experience with Access databases and some SQL language.

Thanks for your help  JKD

RE: Need "like" and "not like" parameters in the same field

I believe you should try

(fieldname like '%2011%' and fieldname not like 'CAL%')

along with whatever else you have
