Accessing Sharepoint from BIS

Accessing Sharepoint from BIS

(OP)
Is it possible for BIS 10.1 and above to connect using ODBC, OLEdb or ADO.net to a sharepoint database?

RE: Accessing Sharepoint from BIS

We don´t have a sharepoint db so i could confirm this,
but i don't see why not.

Can anybody confirm that they have done this?

RE: Accessing Sharepoint from BIS

Don't quote me on this, but isn't SharePoint an on-line, sharable instance of SQL Server?  If so then yes you could use ODBC or OLEDB to access it.

RE: Accessing Sharepoint from BIS

I'm about to set up a new MAPPER site that should be able to access a SharePoint site- as I see it, the biggest problem will be finding out the required credentials and the schema to do anything useful.  I'll keep you guys posted if I get anywhere with it.
