TSM 5.1 and TDPO encryption

We are using TSM 5.1 on AIX 5.1 and are looking to encrypt backups. We should be able to manage the standard incremental by setting encryption in the dsm.opt for the client.
However, we also need to backup using RMAN. Is it as simple as setting encryption in the dsm.opt file associated with the TDPO ie in /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin64 ? show all in RMAN dosen't have the encryption setting in the version we're using.
