SSAS Process Cube Error with Oracle

SSAS Process Cube Error with Oracle

(OP)
Hi folks,

I'm working on a proof of concept and attempting to point SSAS directly at an Oracle DB.

I've setup the Oracle data source and can test the connection OK.
I can browse the source tables in the DSV easily.

But when it's time to process it stops with the following error message:

OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error.

Errors in the high-level relational engine. A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of 'my datasource', Name of 'my datasource'.

so basically I can connect - read the tables etc but cannot process the cube

Any ideas?

thanks in advance
