Has anybody seen or played with Blender?

I haven't yet, but my younger brother - who lives in Raleigh - and works with 3d graphics - computer game design - full time now - has, and says it's great.  Matter of fact, he keeps haggling me every month or two to try it out myself.  I think I installed it once or twice, and maybe opened it... but haven't taken the time to try it out.

Here's his site - he's not a web designer by any means, and it looks like he's taken down some of the stuff he had on there before, I suppose to put newer, more recent stuff.

If I had it with me, I'd post a link to one nifty little deal he's put together for his new baby boy (birth due in a few months) that looks awesome.  He works for Red Storm.  In some ways, he's got a dream job for a geek for sure.  

He spends much of his 'puter time working on stuff for his job, so I think his extra stuff doesn't get much focus... especially now with a wife, and baby on the way.

Anyway, if you want to ask any real world usage type questions with it, I can get his email address to you... I guess I can contact you off your personal site if you like.  Just let me know.

I haven't played with it yet... looks like your bro does some pretty neat stuff with it though.

I showed it to my wife, who was HEAVY into LightWave for a long time... but evidently her focus has turned to Assassin's Creed instead.
