Hi Mate, Thanks for info...

I couldn't find one that would scroll across Horizontally the footer section...like morning TV new shows or the evening news etc... like here:

RE: Plug in for News Feeds.

that's just css and placement.  HTML mainly.  if you want it to scroll then add some javascript although you may find that an existing plugin already has the necessary scrolling JS and you just need to change the JS.  sounds like about an hour's work.

Don't suppose you could point me in right direction?
I have no idea how to achieve this and was hoping for a simple plug-in  ;)

RE: Plug in for News Feeds.

which plugin comes closest to what you want?

RE: Plug in for News Feeds.

the code works fine for me (from 18elements).  i think that you will need to have an rss feed with an http:// prefix as otherwise the fetch mechanism in WP might go wrong.  I used http://news.google.com/news?ned=us&topic=h&output=rss

the default styling is a bit naive, and the jQuery animation is quite jagged, but you can easily adapt these things yourself with a little trial and error.
