Ok. A few weeks ago installed an IP500 5.0.8

Have 22 1616's 14 of which had BM32's. lights were blinking, blf status was not accurate. Then found the entry in the knowledgebase that says you can olny have 10 blfs for a user.

Sooo, removed 4 blf's and installed 4 instances of phone manager lite.

All was fine until last Friday. BM32's still blinking on occasion, sort of like they are constantly rebooting.

We have a Netgear POE switch running the phones. According to the switch software, it appears that power is not the issue, no where near the limits of the switch.

Thinking it was a power problem, I have the receptionist on a power brick, her BM32 still has problems.

I have 2 of the phones with the 16xx power supply. Still a problem.

anyone have any ideas?
I am trying to get a ticket open with Avaya on this.

There is no limit on BLF on BM32's so i do not know where you have that information from ?
This is from the knowledgebase:

The BM32 Button Module extends the number of feature buttons on your Avaya 1616 IP Telephone. It provides 32 additional buttons all with dual LEDs (red, green) for easy visibility.

Up to 3 BM32 button modules can be connected to a 1616 phone. The total number of BM32 button modules supported on one IP Office system is 16, subject to the total system limits. Please refer to System Button Module Support for the total system limitations of button modules on IP Office.

Did you upgrade the BM32's ?

Yes, i see the file being grabbed...

On the knowledgebase...phone details>phone add ons:

• BM32: tickcross +32 1600button
Add-on for the 1616 that provides two columns of 16 buttons. Up to 3 BM32 modules are supported with any 1616. For IP Office 5.0, up to a maximum of 32 BM32 modules total are supported the IP Office system. For pre-IP Office 5.0 systems, only a total of 16 BM32 modules is supported.

You are right, 5.0 supports 32 but you have 14 so that should not be a problem on 4.2.20 or 23 (if you where)

Try the BM32 on a different phone that works and see if it uprgades there because the flashing does mean starting and then it should start working after that
