Hello,

[unfortunately] I use goldmine, and our whole company uses it for their email as well (laughter). Since I despise GM (we're on version 6.7), I use Outlook. However, occasionally I will venture into my "Email Center" and see "emails" from other goldmine users, and they sent it to my goldmine user instead of my actual email address. Is there a way to forward ANYTHING that goes to my goldmine "email center" to a real email address?

An email rule would work.

I have to agree with Doug on this one in that a GoldMine E-mail Rule would probably suffice, however, you must pass the e-mail through the rule in order for this to work.

Additionally, if you could talk to your company into upgrading to GoldMine Premium 8.5.1.12, I think that you would be much happier with the GoldMine E-mail Center, not to mention the GISMO link to Microsoft Outlook.

I will give the email rules another shot. I tried a bunch of different rules, but from what I remember the options for inbound criteria were SLIM...

Negative. Any ideas on a email rule that might work. I've tried a bunch...
Also, I do have a dummy email account set up in my GM email center to send/recieve, thinking maybe I needed to have at least one email account configured for GM to actually send an email...
thanks, in advance, for any suggestions.

Actually, having reread your message, the Rules would not work as the e-mail message must pass through the rules compartment for testing, and then the internal UserID stays internal.

I think you're stuck with proper training.

I wrote an SQL trigger for a client once that forwarded any GOLDMINE e-mails to their internet e-mail box.  If you're interested, I could possibly dig it up and customize ti for your needs...

Of course, you'd have to be on an SQL-based version of GoldMine.

Goner, we're using SQL 2000. I would really appreciate it, but please don't spend too much time or effort. If it's a hassle don't worry about it! :)
