 HTML Link in XML Nav Bar

Hello,

I'm a bit new at this XML thing, but I have a nav bar made in XML and I'm trying to link it to an HTML page. Here is the current code:

<menuitems>
    <menuitem name="ABOUT" filename="about.xml"/>
    <menuitem name="SHOP" (need HTML link here)/>
    <menuitem name="CONTACT" filename="contactform.xml"/>
<menuitems>

Can someone help me figure this out?
Thanks!

You start by google with keywords like "navigation bar xml" and select the technology like xsl, asp.net or whatever. Otherwise, it is too vague.
