VPN with DSL

I have a problem with this one. I will give you the setup:

Site 1 have a dsl modem with "bridged" setup on the modem. They have a linksys router connected to the modem. I am trying to put a vpn router behind the linksys router.

Site 2 has a dsl modem, that is not bridged. I am trying to put a vpn router behind the modem, and connect the two sites together thru the vpn route.

Can this be done?
