Where in the world do Tek-Tips members come from?

Greetings,

I would like some help if possible regarding an issue that troubles me for a few days now. I have a web application that my users use internally by going to the browser and typing the IP 10.0.1.10/sales/sales.asp My company have decided to make this web app available to the ouside world (public internet). So I went ahead and bought a domain name (www.domainname.com) and forwarded the dns entries to my server where the application resides. Now here is my question: Instead of having my customer type (www.domainname.com/sales/sales.asp) to get to the portal how can I make it come up by just typing the www.domainname.com?

I'm running IIS and of course hosting the application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Theo

the simplest way would be to put a redirection script in the root of the website to push anyone from the base domain to that page, or you can do it in IIS on the Home Directory tab of the WebSite properties.
