Has anyone got an idea how to fix this?

The 3711 comes up wrong card you put a different card in and it works. Avaya send me some relacements card and they also come up wrong card.

Is there a trick to the cards in the 3711s?

I believe this was an issue with an earlier release of 4.2, what level are you on?

Yes it is, download 4.2.17 and upgrade the handsets

How to recify the Wrong Card error on the IP Dect:

 
•  Press "Menu" and select "Security"
•  Enter the PIN when requested (this is 0000 in default) and press OK
•  Press OK to confirm the reset.

You got me all excited, However I have had problems upgrading I have a USB cable but the software is not detecting the phone even though the PC detects the phone is connected to a USB port.

Think ill have to buy a serial cable.

Sometimes the phone is just broken
Can you try the new cards in other phones ?
Also thry the old card in a different phone
Maybe there is nothing wrong with the card
