CRM Opportunity ID

Im trying to tie into the CRM database with another program. I would like to be able to call up a list box of opportunity id's from the CRM database. Unfortunately when I go into the opportunity table the opportunity id is very cryptic. Our CRM software gives every opportunity a number like CRM0012 in the CRM interface. How can I get this lookup box to link to the non cryptic version of the opportunity id? Thanks in advance.

I am assuming you are tying this with SQL.

You need to use the filtered lookup tables. The name field will display the topic. The ID, straight from the base table will display the GUID.

The table to pull is "FilteredOpportunity"
