Force local intranet site to be in the "internet zone"

I'm testing an application which is going to be used under a locked down system (IE security settings in particular).  It works just fine, but the only place the web app is available (and security zone I've been able to test under) is on our local intranet.

Is there any way to force a local web address (i.e. "http://Webhost/Demo/") to be under the "Internet" zone constraints instead of the "Intranet" zone?

I'd rather not go setting by setting to make sure they're identical - plus I'm not sure if there are other security differences between the zones.

I'm using IE7 and XP (and will next use Vista).

Is it as easy as just disabling these (within intranet):
"Automatically detect intranet network"
------"Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zones"
------"Include all sites that bypass the proxy server"
------"Include all network paths (UNCs)"

And possibly have to change the http address to point to the server? (http://domain.com/webhost/demo)

Any help would be appreciated.

In simplest form (if your server/application will answer this way) is to create an entry in your hosts file for http://domain.com (using your example).

I ended up finding a way over the weekend at home before I saw the reply, but your suggestion might appeal to the other programmers (who are in their hosts file constantly).

When I brought the site up it displayed "Internet" which was exactly what I wanted.
