Anyone ever experienced CallPilot Server changing the administrator password on its own? We have never changed it, and it crashed yesterday and when I rebooted and tried to login it wouldnt take our password. I have had the phone company out and they are escalating to Nortel. We have release 3.3

I am running a CP4.4 never have I seen a password change on its own. Your phone company is doing the right thing going to Nortel.

Are you asking about the Windows administrator password or the call pilot administrator mailbox password?

I found out that it was because I was trying to remote desktop to the server. If you need to remote desktop to the machine you can do a Shadow Console Session. Go to start .. then run... then enter this
mstsc -v:callpilot /F -console

this should let you in with your administrator password

Wow. I have a bunch of 3.03 systems and I use Remote Desktop on them no problems. I do the shadow console by:

Start-->Run then type "shadow 0" without the quotes and it gets me to the desktop.

I know there was a problem with the shipped version of the Call Pilot Manager that would lock out the Admin Mailbox password (000000), but not the server password.

good to know.
