How to setup music on hold in my AVAYA system? What cards do i need and some configurations to set-up?

Thank you.

You do not need any cards (go into system, telephony tab in the ip offfice config and turn on and off internal or external music source). You can use an external music source or use the internal music wav file set up. Plug music source in the audio jack in back of ip office unit for external music on hold. For internal MOH read the following:
Internal M.O.H. Setup:
File size: Smaller than 500KB Audio Format: PCM
Sample Rate: 8.0KHz Audio Sample: 16 bit
Channels: 1 (Mono)
Internal MOH must be 30 sec. In length. 16 bit mono
Create a wav file, call it Holdmusic.wav (When you rename a M.O.H. file, don’t add the .wav file extension. It already knows it’s a wav file.)
Put file in Manager folder. Reboot system. Note: Manager must be opened when rebooting so that the M.O.H. can load onto the IP Office. View the TFTP log. The MOH file can also be loaded from a TFTP server without using Manager.
MOH Over Phone: Dial *34 (Music will play over your phone speaker). Hang up phone to stop music from playing.
System Short Code: *34 Blank HoldMusic (Listen to Music)
Note: Internal M.O.H. is not supported on IP Office 401. But is supported on SOE (ip401NG), 403, 406,412 and ip500 systems.
To check or change the wav file format: Go to Sound Recorder>click on File>click open>select the wav file to edit>click open>click on file>click Properties. Check to see if Audio Format is correct. If not, click convert now and select the correct format. Click O.K.
