AS400 Client Access - how to create a macro to change the screen color

AS400 Client Access - how to create a macro to change the screen color

(OP)
I often have two AS400 client sessions open at the same time, one pointing to test, and the other pointing to production.  I always modify the text color of the test session so that I can easily tell which session I am looking at.

Is there anyway to create a macro that will automate this?  I tried recording a macro, but that only captures keystrokes, and this involves navigating through menus and dialog boxes that require mouse clicks, so the macro recorder cannot capture it.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

RE: AS400 Client Access - how to create a macro to change the screen color

I don't think you can run a macro but I do the same thing and have several sessions saved. A saved session saves all of the colors and other attribute settings.

To save a session:

File -> Save As

Give it a name with a .ws extension.

Thanks.  I'll give it a try.
