Mcafee updates trouble

Mcafee anti virus does not complete it`s update.Error occurred when it gets to Avdat-5313.zip.
Thanks for your apt response as per what to do to correct this hiccups.

The information you have provided is very limited...!

Which product is not updating? (name, version of product)

What is the error that you are receiving?? Type the error exactly as it appears!

More information please.

I've seen this happening sporadically. At one time no updates were bieng downloaded from their ftp and http servers. But then the problem cleared after a few weeks. These past weeks we've seen a number of failures but updates managed to get downloaded after further retries.

Hi

It depends on which product you are referring to.

When you say "McAfee", there are several products which download a DAT file.

Some examples are VirusScan Enterprise, ePolicy Orchestrator, Groupshield for Exchange / Domino etc etc

Which product.....???????????????????????

It seems this thread died before a resolution was posted, but I am having a similar problem. I have just built an EPO 4.0 server and currently have 18 servers being looked after by it. They are all running EPO Agent 3.6.0.569 and VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0.781 patch 6, current DAT is 5352. Now I only have 1 policy running (atm) which seems to be working OK, but the update task is not running on 2 out of the 18 machines, and I cannot see why, if I run the update manually its fine, it goes to the right server and finds the updates.
Help! shout if there is more info I can provide.
