Truespace 4.3 and vista

MY laptop uses vista. I originally fragged it and installed 2000 but problems later led me to have to reinstall vista (Dell no longer supports 2000) However....

Truespace 4.3 won't work on vista. I use this program for both fun and profit and don't like the interface of later versions. Any clues on what I can do?
