We have a strange thing happening.  We have 2 old NT4 servers on a Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server network.  One of them runs Crystal Enterprise and users can access reports via a web browser from it.  The other one houses files that everyone needs to access in order to run expense reports.  Every user that we've created since January, 2008 can access the Crystal Reports server, but CANNOT access the NT server that is needed to run the expense report!!  If I log in to any of these users' computers with my username and password I can connect to the expense report server without any problem.  So we know that it's not a connectivity or workstation based problem. We tried moving the files needed for the expense report to a different server, but that doesn't work.  Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

I suppose that you have Active Directory in place and the NT 4.0 servers are member servers (not domain controllers).
Secons, I guess that when you login as Domain Admin to the client's computers you can access the shares on the NT 4.0 server with the expense reports. If you login as a standart user you are not able to access the shares.
Third, if you have AD in place what is the Domain and Forest functional level?

Hi Dean,
Yes, the NT servers are member servers.  When I log in as ANY user whose account was created prior to January, 2008 on the client's computers I have no problem accessing the shares on the NT server.  We are a very small company (under 30 users) with one location.  We have one Domain made up of 8 servers.

I would say it's a group membership/permissions issue. How many DC do you have and how is the repication between them?
