Viewing other schemas via TOAD's Schema Browser

Viewing other schemas via TOAD's Schema Browser

(OP)
Production instance PROD is linked to another, PROD2, via a datalink. If I wish to view data in PROD2 I currently have to do it the hard way and use the SQL Editor window. Is there a way one can view tables in PROD2 using the TOAD's Schema Browser while logged in as PROD?

I hope that makes sense...

RE: Viewing other schemas via TOAD's Schema Browser

Only if PROD has access to PROD2's schema.  At the top of the Schema Browser, there is a drop-down with the schema owner's name in it.  Drop it down and select PROD2, if it's available.  If it's not, then the correct access isn't there.

You can always have two copies of the schema browser open for the same log in - one showing the PROD schema and one showing the PROD2 schema.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

I assumed that if I can run them without any problem then the second instance would show up... I could run two logins but it's a real nuisance.
