I am kindly asking for help on programming Vmail and auto attendant using the Vmib or Vmib2 card.

The system cuts calls after it announces the msg or the call does not go to the operator the msg keeps on repeating. From the experts send me a run down of the programs i am suppose to do for the system to work that is for Ldk 20/50/100/300 systems.

Hello.

You must use PGM228 for Auto Attendant (i.e. press 1 for sales, press 2 for service).
LG call this feature for CCR, Customer Call Routing.
In PGM228, you chose where to - press 1-9 and 0 should go.
Begin by selecting a welcome message (use one of the system messages 00-70).
Record your message in to the VMIB, VMIB2 or VMIBE board.
When creating the CCR structure, you have these possibilities for transfer:
1 - transfer to an extension number.
2 - transfer to a group.
3 - transfer to a new VMIB message (VMIB announcement).
4 - transfer to a VMIB message, and hang up (info message).
5 - transfer to a speed dialling number. (SPD 2000-3499).
6 - transfer to internal paging.
7 - transfer to external paging. (e.g. loudspeaker system).
8 - transfer to both int. and ext. paging.

This just works fine.

Hi petros123

If you have any faults with e.g. one LG LDK-20/50/100/300, you can make a back-up of the system, and send it to me.
I can analyze it through the LDK-OFFLINE admin program.

This is up to you to decide!

Use this link to see my address.

Hello again

I have checked your back-ups.
It seems to be OK programmed.

You are using ipLDK-100 s/w 3.7Ce.
Using CCR (of PGM228) and 3 choices:
Press 1 for Ring group 620 (members 113-116).
Press 2 for Ring group 621 (members 108-111).
Press 0 (10) for system attendant 100 (DKTU).

But I would make these changes...

PGM180-182 "Inter Digit Timer" set from 5 to 2 seconds.
Please check - also - PGM 231...

I have updated this info below. Conference room is added.
When creating the CCR structure, you have these possibilities for transfer:
1 - Transfer to an extension number.
2 - Transfer to a group.
3 - Transfer to a new VMIB message (VMIB announcement 1-70).
4 - Transfer to a VMIB message, and hang up (info message).
5 - Transfer to a speed dialling number. (SPD 2000-3499).
6 - Transfer to internal paging.(1-10)
7 - Transfer to external paging. (e.g. loudspeaker system).
8 - Transfer to both int. and ext. paging.
9 - Transfer to Network number (voice over IP network).
10 - Transfer to Conference room. (1-9).

Sorry for the PGM231.
As you are NOT using ISDN, the PGM144 is used.
Set your CO lines in PGM140 to NORMAL.
In PGM141 set the used lines to COGRP=1, the rest to COGRP=25.
In PGM144 set the CO line - in the Day/Night/Weekend/On-Demand mode to answer the line with voice message 1, and NO drop!
If you used ISDN (PGM231) you should answer the line with a VMIB message and also with NO drop!
Drop is "Hang up" after the message...

Our last correspondence...

Thanks for the response on last thing how do you change the timer for system to release the line when there is no answer.

-> As you are using analog lines (I think), there is a much slower release than ISDN lines.

Maybe reduce the timer in PGM180-182 - (BTN14) Automatic CO release timer.
++++++
*or when the calling party cuts the call whilst the vmail has answered the call . The system is holding the line for too much time that if it happens on 4 line system there will be incoming calls all the lines will be hanging in the system.

-> Same issue here.

++++

* Night answer we want to be answered by the voicemail and prompts the caller to leave a message in the system which can accessed by the attendant in the following morning.?

-> Use PGM144 in Night position for the actual line to transfer the call to the attendant (Station 100) that has been forwarded to VMIB by 554 +1+ #

The message heard is the personal voice message of the attendant. A message key will indicate a new voice mail message.

Hello again.

Hanging analog lines gave us problems earlier, before ISDN was introduced.
Analog lines with polarity reversal helped a lot with solving this issue.
With ISDN lines used with all new installations, none of these problems are seen anymore.

Thanks for the info here Isdn is something else we a far much behind the closest we can get to a digital is by using Fixed Cellular terminals.

I will reprogram and uodate you with the progress

Hi Petros

You need to go to the Network Administration and under Congiguration do the "Save Config".
Just wait for the rely that the config has been saved.
