3Com Office Connect Managed Switch 9

When I startup my 3Com Office Connect Managed Switch 9, I get a steady flashing Alert LED.

Using the console connection, when the unit starts up, it passes all of the tests then it displays "Runtime Loading Fail - System Halt"

I get the prompt when I hit the Ctrl+u. What can I do from this point to fix this?

I saw a similar post in thread545-1390901: OfficeConnect Managed Switch 9 Alert LED? but I did not find a solution beyond the Ctrl+u

The obvious thing to do, call 3COM tech support. See the docs for the number.
