We're on v8.01 now but I was told last year there would be a new release in 2008.  Anyone heard?

There have been several new releases since 8.0.1. The latest one for 8.0 is 8.0.1.1 (also reffered to as 8.0.2), but there's already a 8.1 branch (8.1.0.3) and a 8.2 branch.

are any of these new versions compatable with VISTA?

The IBM website lists the following versions as for the system requirements:

"Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP Professional"

However, the release notes of 8.2 include the following note:

"CQ2931
Installing on your Windows Vista operating system
If you are installing the WebSphere Transformation Extender products on your Windows Vista operating system, do not specify c:\Program Files in your target installation location because of compatibility issues."

So I guess it's supported, but the website isn't up-to-date.
