Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to change basic parameters of a live video feed, which would come from a usb camera. These would be brightness/contrast and color balance.
I was hoping to create an application which does something similar to the white balancing option that digital cameras have.
Do you have any idea or hints on how I could do this?

You'll need an Xtra - perhaps something like this: <http://www.smoothware.com/>

thanks for the advice, but they want money for their xtras.
Are there any guides/tutorials which tell you how to make your own xtras?
