I took some pictures and film using a fuji finepix v10, uploaded the pictures and film to my laptop and now i'm only able to view half of the pictures and film taken....some pics are fine to view and others i get a message saying the file format is unrecognisable although when looking at the properties of the files they state there either avi files or jpg and all the file sizes are around the same of 2.5 mb. Does anyone know if there's a prog that might be able to retrieve the pictures back or know of a company that can do this? or is there something simple i'm missing?

I'm not sure this is the best place to look for advice about pictures.  You might can find better info somewhere like:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/

They have forum boards there as well.
