Hi everyone,

I know the Cintech Cinphony acd product is not norstar, but I'm having a problem printing system reports that use the compiled data.I can print a config report-no problem,so I know it's not a printer problem, but when I try to print a agent or line report it comes back with: "initialize engine".I looked at the process data function and did a "process data-demand " as I noticed it was not processing in the middle of the night as I had scheduled. It grinded for a couple of minutes then I saw a burst of random text characters .I think it processed the data ok,but when I then tried to print a report ,it still would not do it.Any ideas?

Thanks!
Eric

I would try rebooting the whole acd system. If that doesn't work, look on the ABOUT page and Cintec's phone number should be there....give them a call along with an ID number.

Thanks for reply,Bigcat.

I have tried rebooting a few times with no results.Called Cintech only to find they no longer provide hourly technical advice. We would have to sign up for a yearly support package to the tune of 1600.00. (1600.00 to get one question answered)Give me break!!! Since our customer may soon make the move to a call pilot acd ,that is out of the question.I wonder if there is something in the "window List" that I can adjust?!

Eric

can you print to screen?
what release are you at on acd?
what percentage is acd at now?"top right corner"

Lugerlover,

Thanks for the help.

Yes,I can print to screen.Error message I get when I attempt to print reads: "Engine not initialized.Press any key to continue".

Cinphony I version 3.50.0038
"48% disk full"

AT this point if you can screen print and you r about 3 or 4 releases behind and since you want to change acd's out i would try and do a print to file and then copy to a floppy

I can print screens without compiled user data. But the data collected reports I cannot print.I think there is a collection "engine" similar one that a call accounting system uses that needs to be restarted or something.I'm sure it's something relatively simple.I didn't mention initially that the application is running co-resident with voicemail in the NAM.

Have you run a check disk? Co-resident mail/ACD is notorious for corrupting shared files.

Thanks for the post.Yes, I remember once that I had a problem with cross linked files at another customer.I can't remember how to run the check disk on the nam.Do I go to the dos screen?

Eric

try selecting acd control..there were issue with 3.30 that needed upgrade

Thanks for the tip.I went in and ran a chkdsk. 3 files indicated a possible coruption problem .They all ended in a .log suffix.I think I'll try to have a sales person cut a deal -x amount discount on a callpilot acd.I'd hate to fork over 1600.00 for support from Cintech only to find out it can't be fixed. Then we'd have to get them a callpilot anyway!

Thanks everyone,
Eric

If you are comfortable with Cinphony, you can out those files and rebuild it (or mail, depending on which files are hosed) yourself. Which files are they and do they say 'crosslinked at xxxxx'?
