hi all,

In Visual Studio, I built a package. It has a .dtsx extension, not .dtproj.

I can't execute it - the "Debug
and "Execute without debugging" options under Debug tab are disabled.

Do I need to somehow save it as a project?

How can I recover this so I don't have to rebuild everything?

Thanks. John

if this is an existing package you will need to create a new project and import the file into this project.

to import a new file you can right click on Packages in the solution explore and select "Add Existing"  you can also drag the file from windows explorer and drop it into the solution explorer.
