Hi Guys,

I currently work within an IT support role, and I have been tasked with reviewing the quantity or emails sent internally using exchange server 5.5.

The other side is that my directors think there has been some inappropriate use also and want it looked into.

Is there a way of viewing emails sent and received ?

I'm sure its going to need coding at some point but we have an issue of suxual harrasment and they want it sorted quite quickly.

Many Thanks in advance

Single server, or multiple server environment?

And which country?

Merlin is the same place as us zb.

Anthony - there are ways if you need to do so but you also need to tackle the area of privacy first. If you snoop, you are invading privacy. If Directors asked but you don't have proof, you are up for it.

Sexual harrassment or not, get the backing of the Directors and get someone in to implement tracking / journalling / copying / accessing.

As to traffic, there are a number of third party products but do you have a budget as they are not free. I'm not even sure if there are too many left for Exchange 5.5 for internal processing.

thanks guys.

The privacy aspect is covered within our contract of employments, and the reserved right to view emails and content should we feel necessary.

I was under the impression that interegating a server, whilst annoying could be done by writing code. Coding is not my strong point so if you are aware of any 3rd party programs i would be grateful of their names. I think that the cost of a program compared to the cost of a sexual harrasment case is minimal.

Discovery Attender by Sherpa Software is the product I recommend - it has its quirks, but then all these products do, and this does work, and costs much less than some of the alternatives.

Pillar Solutions are the UK distributer, the guy I dealt with 2 years ago was called Tim Sloan, if he's still around he's actually really nice to deal with - not like some of the uncaring, shark-like salesmen that one comes across!
