MySql (ODBC 3.5) target in update mode

MySql (ODBC 3.5) target in update mode

I have a single key field, varchar, to match on.
I have "Update ALL matching records and insert non-matching records" checked.
The source field to match on is varchar2 (Oracle).
The map does not match -- therefore no updates are done -- all rows get inserted.

If I point the same map to an Oracle or MS Access database target I get the expected results, i.e., updates on matches.

Does anyone know if this is a DataJunction bug or a MySQL but, and how to fix it.

Thanks, Mickey
