Hello everyone,

I am in a big trouble.n fact I have a Exchange5.5 on a windows  Advanced Server 2000,My domain Controller is 2003.
I was trying to replicate the mailboxes to the new Exchange 2003 which I installed in a stand alone server 2003 enterprise.

My big problem is Exchange 5.5 does not work well and I have a lot of problems with the Windows 2000.I am not able to connect to Exchange 5.5 from exchange 2003 ,because I could not run Exchange services in the windows and windows is crashing and hanging all the time.
Is there any other way to export PRIV1.edb and PUB1.EDB into the Exchange 2003???
I really appreciate your helps and advices

Exchange 5.5 databases cannot be directly imported into Exchange 2003.

You could export the 5.5 mailboxes to PST files (individually via clients, or collectively using ExMerge) and then import the PSTs to Exchange 2003.

Third party tools, Quest or Ontrack, can extract the data drirectly from the edb files and import it into your new environment.

If you use the Exmerge utility, be sure to send a dummy email to all users before trying to import the data. Exmerge will not import data to an empty mailbox - at least not in Exchange 5.5.

When all else fails, read the book!
