Outlook Express opens PDF attachment with wrong application

Hi,

When I open a PDF attachment in OE6, Adobe Acrobat 6 opens the attachment. When I first save the PDF to disk and open it from Windows Exporer, it opens with Adobe Reader 8.

The file association for PDF is correctly set to Adobe Reader 8 ("Open" action).

Acrobat 6 needs to be installed on that computer for creating PDF's from within an ERP application, but existing PDF's should be opened using Adobe Reader 8.

How can I tell OE6 to use Adobe Reader 8 for opening PDF's?

Thanks
Wim

Does anybody know how OE6 decides what application to use to open a specific attachment?

Thanks
Wim

Found it - using the trial and error and lots-a-coffee method  winky smile

In case anybody's interested:

Change this registry key:

KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\Open\command = "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0 Reader\AcroRd32.exe" "%1"
