Need shebang line for gcc

Need shebang line for gcc

(OP)
I'm using bbedit to write c code. I'd like to add a shebang line to my program so that I can use bbedit's shebang menu to send my code to the terminal to run (Run In Terminal).

I've tried using:

CODE

#!/usr/bin/gcc

but it doesn't work (terminal output pasted below). Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
