Tapeware Error 502

Tapeware Error 502

(OP)
Hi,
When performing a backup with Tapeware, the process stops
after many hours of saving with error 502, the explanation seems to mean that the tape is busy and cannot accept commands...
Anybody had faced the problem ?
Thanks for help
Djessi

RE: Tapeware Error 502

This can indicate the Tape Drive/Autloader is not functioning or properly responding to Tapeware's commands.

If the condition persists, there may be a problem with the device. A reboot of the tape unit may do the trick. The extreme is the rebooting of the server so that the communication between the scsi card and the device are reset.

Also check you are not running 2 jobs simultanouly.

regards
MB
