Here is my support request to NetObjects:

Support

I was pleased to see an upgrade for Netobjects Fusion 9.0 but I was very dissapointed to see yet again the upgrade route was through another cash payment!

I have used Netobjects Fusion for four years and have upgraded my copy four times, each time paying around $100 for the upgrade. I am very dissapointed to see that in a very short time Net Objects Fusion 9.0 has been superceeded by version 10.00 and yet another payment is needed to be made. I would have thought the upgrade from 9.0 to 10.00 would for loyal customers like me be a free or very cheap upgrade. I have over the last four years spent in upgrades and initial fee over $500 for my present copy of Netobjects 9.0
Can you tell me do you think its fair for me now to have to contibute so soon after the release of netobjects 9.0 have to pay $120 in order to be able to use version 10.00 ?

Here is their reply:

Dear Mr. Jones,

Thank you for contacting Net Objects Eurosupport.

We are very sorry for the fact you do not approve the fusion 10 release, but we wanted to improve our application and the high number of new tools and features added in the new version could not have been included in an Update. We will still offer support for Fusion 9 so you do not have to upgrade to Fusion 10. We will also have special offers for our users that already own a version of Fusion, maybe you will be interested in that in the future.
Once again we want to apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. We hope not to lose you as a customer.

I guess they could not give a hoot........
They certainly DO NOT look after their customers.

Hi, the one thing that Netobjects have never been good at, and I've been a user since 5, is customer service.

Having bought a £100 upgrade I couldn't get it to work because NOF5 serial numbers are not permitted in the qualifying criteria.  They promised me a refund last Decemberf but has arrived.

I would welcome better templates in order to deliver faster, more satisfactory finished webs.  The graphic utilities are really like working with pre PC software.
