premier crashes on export of any kind

when i attempt to export i get the error message "premier.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. an error log has been created"
i have never had this problem before...anyone?

I am a rookie and had all sorts of strange happenings with Premiere. I had previously uninstalled the piece of garbage called Pinnacle Studio 10 but I think it left behind some ghosts in the registry. Reformat and all is good with Premiere. A bit of work but it may help.
